163 I Am's of Who We Are in Christ

What happened to us when we became a believer is an amazing but often misunderstood subject. One of those things is that Christ saved us to exchange His life for ours (Gal. 2:20). The Bible shows us over and over who we are in Christ, and as we understand these things, and yield to them by faith we can experience great victory in our Christian life.

The following list is not exhaustive, but gives 163 statements of who I am in Christ. Take some time to meditate on these, thanking God for them, and yielding to them. Hopefully you will soon find yourself on shouting ground!

1. I am poor in spirit and the kingdom of heaven belongs to me. Mt 5:3, Lu 6:20
2. I am being comforted in all of my mourning. Mt 5:4, Lu 6:21
3. I am meek and shall inherit the earth. Mt 5:5
4. I am hungering and thirsting after righteousness and shall be filled. Mt 5:6, Lu 6:21
5. I am merciful and shall obtain mercy. Mt 5:7
6. I am pure in heart and I shall see God. Mt 5:8
7. I am a peacemaker and I shall be called a son of God. Mt 5:9
8. I am persecuted for righteousness sake and the kingdom of heaven belongs to me. Mt 5:10, Lu 6:22
9. I am the salt of the earth. Mt 5:13

11. I am finding rest for my soul by taking Christ’s yoke and learning of Him. Mt 11:28-29
